Puddles!

Brooks has figured out puddles. What a little goof. He was whining to go outside yesterday when I got home from work. I hesitated because it was all wet from just having rained. But before I could even explain my hesitation to the little nugget, he was sitting on our front door mat, immediately soaked. So I figured "what the hey" he's already wet. So I let him have at it, and man did he love it! Photobucket Isn't his face at the end cute? It says "Mom, can I play outside? I already started and look how fun it is!!!" Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Also, check out his new crocs?!?!?! Zach and I have been talking about getting him some for the summer so we don't have to worry about socks and so we can just easily hose them down once dirty. And low and behold I found these at a second-hand store for $3!!!! They might be a size to small tho haha, we're gonna try them out this week and see.

Overwhelmed!

I am so behind in posts it's overwhelming. My computer is on it's umpteenth hard drive so it's made it difficult to post! I don't even know where to begin with my photos actually, so I'm just gonna put up some of the most recent and then backtrack later with all of the photos that I've missed!

Zach gets a shot with the camera...

Since I've started my new job, Zach has taken over camera duties during the day. He got some good shots of Brooks "four wheeling" the other day. He was cracking us up earlier in the week "ramping" over the clutter in our living room. So Zach had the genius idea to take him outside!

And boy can baby throw! He's got the throwing of objects down pat. Still working on making sure those objects are not breakable and/or will not hurt somebody.
Photobucket
And he's got a major interest in the outdoors. Poor guy cries when we close the door to the outside :( And he pointed to every single tree we passed on the way out of the doctor's office the other day. I let him touch each of them and he would just keep reaching higher and higher as if he wanted me to let him hang from the high branches! I can't wait until we get our own house and Brooks can "help" his dad build a tree house where he can invite all of his friends and play the weird make-believe games that boys play!

Just had to throw in these pics. Emily got him these pajama pants for his birthday and Zach brought him down in them the other day! I almost died cuz he looked so darn cute...they look like little boxer briefs! What a little man we have!!!

End of a great year!

This is what happens when you tell Brooks he cannot have any more of the candy from Great Aunt Rita...

Look at my handy man helping momma put together his new table while Dad sat on the couch!!!

Here's a picture of the finished product! ($20! Can you believe it?) Also, Brooks is somewhat confused with the playdo..he may or may not be trying to drink it!

Zach and I reluctantly took Brooks to the Wildlights at the Columbus zoo the other night. We weren't really in the mood to pack everything up and truck it through the chilly weather...but I'm so glad we did. It was only really like 40 degrees which was not bad at all, and the following days it was supposed to rain. So we sucked it up and ended up having a really good time!

And finally, for New Years, we were THOSE parents. We went over to Emily's to have drinks and dinner and brought our kid!!! I was worried that even though I know my friends love Brooks to death, that he would be slightly bothersome with knocking things over or wanting everyone's food, etc. But actually, not surprisingly, Brooks was awesome and so were my friends. They kept him well entertained and I think Brooks did the same for them. We hung out until they all headed for the bars and then we just came home. It was the best of both worlds; we got to enjoy time with our friends and son, and didn't have to fight crazy crowds at bars!

I promised Zach I would keep the "gang sign" photos to a minimum of 2!

Enjoy the New Year!
