Yes please!

Please everyone pray, or do a voodoo dance, or something that El Tigre is a boy. Because if so, Zach promised that he and little man will perform this for my birthday one year...

That is all!

Simple Life

I was babysitting twin girls the other night and I'm always fascinated by what they find entertaining. One of the girls spent about 30 minutes putting her rain boots on, walking around, and then taking them off, laughing the entire time. Then, they both wanted to sit at the dining room table like big kids I guess. I had one of them in my lap and Charlotte was sitting across the table playing with a hair brush. Veronica, the one on my lap, was picking up my water bottle and putting it up to my mouth. So I decided to "fake drink." To my surprise, they thought it was the funniest thing ever, so I video taped it with my phone. Look how cute they are, it's ridiculous.

I can't wait til I get to video tape El Tigre's laugh! (And yes, Charlotte does have a mullet, but don't judge her, it's not her fault!)

Two Weeks Notice

Do you know what today is? Today marks two weeks until I find out if el tigre is a boy, girl or hermy! So crazy! Everyone always asks what I think it is and obviously there is no way to tell, makes no sense. Ellie says she knows its a boy because she has a curse on her that all her friends have had boy children. But Zach says it's a girl because there is an infantry curse that all the guys have girls. That's why I'm thinking hermy. I'll be happy either way! Speaking of babies, I've decided to occasionally inform everyone of a random pregnancy fact that I'm sure they didn't know.

Unknown fact #1: When pregnant your gums bleed. Apparently the inflammation is caused by higher progesterine levels that make your gums more sensitive. Every time I brush my teeth and spit, it's red. Attractive huh?

Also, the other day Ellie, Jan, and myself were walking around Polaris and decided to go in Motherhood (maternity store) to just look around. We just happened to find the funniest onesie outfits I've ever seen. I'll let you guys fight over who will buy them for me, but please coordinate so I don't get double of the same one :)

Onesie #1: Nobody puts baby in the corner
Onesie #2: Ipood
Onesie #3: Party at my crib tonight (then pic of 6-pack of bottles) B.Y.O.B
Onesie #4: I'm kind of a big deal

Aren't those hilarious? There was also a pee-pee teepee if I have a boy so I can make sure he doesn't pee on me. Who knew those existed?!? So exciting!

Too Soon?

My brother told me that if I post too often that people will get annoyed with me. I thought about that for a hot second and decided who cares? It's my blog, people don't have to read every post right? But even if you read just one, you MUST become a follower, if not, you're dead to me.

Anyways, so I've always loved scrapbooking but it's pretty time consuming. So I've started card making! It's just like scrapbooking but on a smaller scale, minus the photos. Maggie M. has a friend who made her homemade cards all last year and every time I got so jealous and finally decided to pick up the hobby myself. Not to brag but I'm definitely already better than Maggie's friend, I'm a fast learner, no big deal. So here's a pic of a card I made tonight for Zach's grandparents. They just sent us a cute wedding card/gift so I needed to make a thank you.

Inside the wedding card from Zach's grandparents part of the writing had a really good quote that I thought I'd share. It said, "May you be not only sweethearts but the very best of friends..." Isn't that so cute? Zach better step it up tho cuz he's gonna have to do a lot to surpass my very best of girl friends...dun dun dunnn!

K well that's all, hope everyone has a good Earth Day tomorrow! You should plant a tree or something!

Random

Two places I hope none of you have to visit in the near future: The emergency room and the Office of Vital Statistics. I had to visit both in the past 24 hours (ER for Corinne - she's fine - and the other place for a certified copy of my birth certificate) Both places are filled with interesting characters to say the least, they both smell like poop, and are extremely hot. I feel like I need to bathe for a good while! On a positive note, someone's last name in the ER was Bushy, I thought that was pretty funny!

Baby Updates:
So you know how on TV shows and movies some people notice or first think someone else is pregnant due to their "glow." Well in my case, that does not exist. My face is not glowing, instead, it looks like I'm a 13 year old going through puberty. Thanks baby! Also, I have been getting nosebleeds almost daily. Apparently this can happen during pregnancy, but I also suffered from nose bleeds when I was younger so it might just be because of the weather. I shouldn't be complaining tho, considering I never had morning sickness! I can complain tho that my jeans aren't fitting anymore. The past two times I've worn them while eating I had to unbutton them. Sad day :( Pretty soon I'm gonna be one of those ladies wearing the jeans with the elastic waist band. I'm not sure why we don't wear those regularly, but I will wear the heck out of them while it's considered appropriate!

Here comes the bride...

Most girls dream of their wedding days from a very young age. By the time they are my age (23) they already know who will be in their wedding, what colors will be worn, where the wedding will take place, how much alcohol they want at the reception, and if there will be a band or DJ. They dream of big weddings with new and old friends and family. They dream of their father walking them down the aisle, the first dance, and of course the honeymoon. I on the other hand am not like most girls. I've never spent a considerable amount of time planning my eventual marriage, I've never been a fan of the traditional big church weddings. But never, did I imagine my wedding would be in what seemed like an office building by a man with 4 teeth, maybe 5!

Zach and I decided to get married before he went back to his base in North Carolina, so we had a short time period to plan. We figured we would just get married in the court house for now, and then when he gets back from his 2nd tour, we will do the whole shibang! Little did we know that the court house would be booked for the next couple months, how crazy is that. So Zachary did some research (where would we be without google?) and found a lovely man who could marry us on short notice who also just happened to also be a marine! Luckily for us, this place was open 24/7! Classy huh? Anyway, Zach gave him a call and they fell in love immediately (those marines stick together, no joke). So our wedding was set for Friday, April 2nd at 3:15 in the afternoon.

Zach and his dad drove together, Zach's mom and aunt drove together, and Claire and I together. No big deal, Claire and I were only 40 minutes behind the rest due to a 7 car pile up on the highway. I was late for my own wedding, pathetic! Zach and I chose to have a very casual wedding, we're saving the good stuff for the big shibang later! I wore a summer dress and Zach wore jeans with a yellow polo. The minister also wore jeans, with basically a long sleeve t-shirt, tats all over his hands. Beautiful man! As soon as Claire and I finally rolled in, he went through the routine, and then it was go time. Claire was to walk me halfway down the isle, then hug me, and Zach was gonna come pick me up. Since the isle was about 5 feet long, Claire and I took about two steps forward, and had to take one step back so Zach could actually come get me. Meanwhile, some sort of wedding-ish music was playing from the boombox (that's right) next to the alter. Then it was time for both our mother's to light the unity candle. Of which the minister man gave them a jacked up lighter that worked 10% of the time. Once lit, the wedding was on it's way. He said some prayers, some quotes. Referred to Zach as "Zachary, or William, whatever your name is". Then suddenly the wedding-ish music was no longer wedding-ish, so the minister stopped what he was doing to turn off the boombox. After he tried a time or two, Zach stepped away and turned it off for him. Then it was back to our I Dos. And then before we knew it, we were married!

We posed for the paparazzi (Zach's mom and Aunt) in front of the beautiful flowers that Zach's sister and mom provided. Then the whole gang went to eat at O'Charleys after. It was so cute, his mom and aunt were so excited they brought in the huge bouquet of flowers to the restaurant and plopped them smack dab in the middle of the table. We talked about how funny the day ended up, and about what our plans were next. We said our goodbyes, and went on with the rest of our wedding day. Which consisted of a trip to target, both our first visits to The Melting Pot, and then off to a hotel for the night. Overall, a damn good day!

(----> Wedding photo with one of a kind minister. In Zach's defense, he did not choose to wear this hat. It was a gift from good ole Den Fennesey (minister) and he requested Zach wear the hat in the photo so he could send it to his fellow marines. Adorable huh?)

So...this was my first post, EVER! Kinda fun. So I plan to keep this up as my new life as a married woman continues, oh yeah, and as an expecting mother, no big deal. Speaking of which I signed up for prenatal yoga yesterday. And I'm pretty sure I felt El Tigre (the baby) move today. I was just lying down reading a book and had my hand on my belly. (I've read by this time the baby can feel my touch.) And then, I felt like what felt like little bubbles kinda. Hard to explain, and I'm not really sure if that was the baby; it didn't send out an announcement. Regardless, I'm sticking to it, I felt the baby move for the first time today, April 18, 2010! Woop Woop!

Talk to everyone soon! Also, please follow me so I feel super cool! Thanks!
